This year’s theme for National Credit Union Youth Month is “Unleash the Power of Saving at Your Credit Union.” The goal is to promote financial literacy and education among young people, helping them to develop good money management habits and achieve financial security as they grow into adulthood. In today’s world, where financial literacy is increasingly important, it’s crucial to start learning about money management from an early age. Beginning by understanding the importance of saving money, not only will help them develop a savings habit, but also financial skills that will serve them well throughout their life.

Willis-Knighton Federal Credit Union has 2 accounts for children:

• Scottie Savers — Ages Birth to 12 years old
• Extreme Teen — Ages 13 to 17 years old

To Open A Kids Account:

You will need their Social Security card and your ID to open an account. Children 15-17 will need to sign the account card. Teens 16-17 may open a Checking Account.
